Privacy Policy — Harmony Companion
Summary
Harmony Companion is designed to work on your device. We do not operate a user account system in the app and do not sell your data. Practice data (plans, notes, settings) is stored locally unless you use system backup features described below.
What stays on your device
Examples of data stored only on the phone or tablet:
- Harmony and metronome settings
- Fraction circle plans, attention maps, body assessments, Thibault boards
- Calendar markers, compass intended heading, clock/alarm preferences
- App language choice
- Grimoire chat threads, messages, and media attachments (when you use that feature)
- On-device AI model files you download
This data is not transmitted to us by the app.
Grimoire (optional AI chat)
Grimoire is an optional in-app chat feature. By default, inference can run on-device using models you download to the phone.
If you choose optional integrations:
- Google AI Studio — you provide your own API key (stored encrypted on the device). Prompts and attachments you send are transmitted to Google’s Generative Language API under Google’s terms.
- Ollama (LAN) — you configure a host on your network. Content you send goes to that server, not to us.
- Hugging Face — you may provide a read token to download models. Downloads are between your device and Hugging Face.
API keys and tokens are stored with Android Keystore-backed encryption when the device supports it. We do not receive or store them on our servers.
Permissions and why they are used

| Location (approximate / precise) | Solar times on the day clock; compass bearing vs intended azimuth. Used on-device, not sent to our servers. |
| Camera | Torch flash for metronome beats when you enable flash mode. The app does not capture or store photos or video for the metronome. |
| Microphone | Optional voice or audio attachments in Grimoire chat when you record them. |
| Notifications | Foreground session controls while Harmony or Grimoire tasks run in the background. |
| Vibrate | Metronome pulses when vibration mode is enabled. |
| Exact alarms | Clock alarms and widget timing you configure. |
| Foreground service (media playback, data sync) | Continuous harmony/monitor audio, metronome, and long-running Grimoire indexing when active. |
| Wake lock | Keeps sessions stable while audio runs with the screen off. |
| Boot completed | Reschedule clock alarms and widget updates after reboot. |
| High sampling rate sensors | Motion-driven harmony voices and balance scoring from accelerometer/gyroscope. |
You can deny optional permissions in system settings; related features may be limited.
Third parties
- Google Play (if you install from Play Store) processes downloads per Google’s policies.
- Google Generative Language API — only if you configure AI Studio with your own API key.
- Hugging Face — only if you download models using your token or a URL you provide.
- Your Ollama server — only if you configure LAN access.
- Device manufacturer lock-screen / plugin APIs (e.g. Motorola My Screen) only apply if you use those integrations on supported devices.
- The app does not embed third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the current release.
Backups
If Android backup is enabled for the app, the OS may copy app data to your Google account or device backup per your system settings. We do not control that process.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy before a new store release. The “Last updated” date at the top will change accordingly.
Your rights
For questions or requests regarding this policy, contact viktor.pavlov.arg@gmail.com. You can delete app data at any time via Android Settings → Apps → Harmony Companion → Storage → Clear data, or by uninstalling the app.
